WHAT IS SELENIUM SULFIDE?
Selenium sulfide is a powerful antidandruff active which is extraordinarily effective at helping eliminate cases of severe dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. The microfine particle has an orange color, so shampoos with selenium sulfide naturally have a peach or orange tint.
WHY DO WE USE IT?
Shampoos in our core range contain a slightly different active ingredient, called pyrithione zinc (ZPT). It’s perfect for relieving mild and moderate cases of dandruff.
However, more severe cases come with additional symptoms such as severe itching and irritation to the scalp and larger, more persistent flakes. Selenium sulfide works quickly and effectively to deal with these.
