Like all Head & Shoulders formulas, BARE is formulated with a clinically proven anti-dandruff active that goes deep to the source to protect against dandruff and get the job done.
The active ingredient fighting dandruff is called Piroctone Olamine, it’s clinically proven to be effective against dandruff.
Head & Shoulders scientists started from scratch to build a new dandruff shampoo made from the BARE minimum, inside and out. It began with the formula, hardworking, high quality and trusted ingredients were carefully selected to fill the 9 roles a dandruff shampoo needs. A single ingredient for each role, to ensure the formula delivers effective dandruff protection with the BARE minimum but still gets the job done.

Water
Water is the primary ingredient of our formula, as in any other shampoo. It helps the shampoo to spread evenly on your scalp.
Plant derived moisturizer
A polymer detangler derived from plants is responsible for the silky-smooth moisturised feel you get when you wash your hair.
Citric acid pH balancer
Citric acid provides pH balance to the formula to ensure our shampoo aligns with your natural skin PH.
Anti-dandruff active
PO or Piroctone Olamine is our anti-dandruff active. It is clinically proven to treat and prevent dandruff from coming back.
Coconut water scent
A subtle coconut-based scent makes your shower experience enjoyable.
Plant derived cleanser
Our plant derived cleanser works to create a cushiony lather. Separate from the cleansing role, lather provides a helpful signal for when scalp and hair are clean.
Freshness Preservative
A freshness preservative protects our ingredients and keeps them pure while the formula is being made.

A sulfate free, plant-derived cleanser to get the right balance of both cleansing and mildness. This is the ingredients responsible for forming the rich lather that ultimately cleans.

Effective dandruff protection with minimal ingredients
neither tube nor bottle – it’s a Tuble!
It has been packaged in a lightweight bottle that uses 46% less plastic vs our 400 ml bottle.
So, as you would expect Tuble behaves a little differently to a regular shampoo bottle. Less plastic means our bottle is lightweight, easy to squeeze and rollable for the last drop of dandruff protection, so acts like both a tube and a bottle!
