Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition is open to all residents in the UK over 18 years of age, excluding employees of Procter & Gamble and their agents, and anyone professionally associated with this promotion
  2. Entries are entered on www.headandshoulders.co.uk at entrants own risk. Last date for receipt of entries is midnight on May 9, 2008.
  3. A panel of judges will select 5 finalists per region (9 regions). The 45 regional finalists’ entries will appear on the website between May 19 to May 30, 2008, and the entry for each region that receives the most public votes will be invited to attend the Grand Final in London on June 20, 2008.
  4. The 45 regional finalists will be notified by phone and / or in writing on or around 12th / 13th May 2008 ahead of the voting period which starts on May 19 2008.
  5. The 45 regional hairdresser finalists and their Nominators must be available to attend an in-store marketing event in their region on May 24th 2008. Failure for both to do so may mean that the regional finalist will be disqualified from the competition. The instore marketing activity will involve giving interviews and giving styling hints and tips. The 45 regional finalists and their nominators will be reasonably compensated for their time and travel.
  6. The 9 Finalists will be notified in writing by J6th June 2008. The Nominators and their hairdresser must be available to attend the national final in London on 20th June 2008 to qualify as a finalist.
  7. The winning hairdresser will be invited to take part in photo shoots, interviews and filming on the day of the national final on 20 June 2008. These images, quotes and interviews will appear within national and regional consumer and trade magazines and newspapers, broadcast media on websites and on www.headandshoulders.co.uk. The winning hairdresser will also be presented with an Award (trophy), £2000 cheque and a pair of professional hairdressing scissors on the day of the final. 12 x month’s supply of Head & Shoulders colour care shampoo and conditioner, in the form of 5x free shampoo vouchers and 5x free conditioner vouchers, will be delivered to the winning hairdresser after the national final has taken place. The winning Nominator will be awarded a £1000 cheque and 1 years’ supply of Head & Shoulders colour care shampoo and conditioner in the form of vouchers and both the winning hairdresser and their Nominator will appear in a Cosmopolitan photo shoot with their winning hairdresser (to take place end June / beginning July 2008 – date TBC).
  8. The remaining 8 finalists (& their hairdressers) will take part in photo shoots, interviews and filming on the day of the national final on 20 June 2008. These images, quotes and interviews may appear within national and regional consumer and trade magazines and newspapers, broadcast media on websites and on www.headandshoulders.co.uk. The finalists will also be presented with an Award (trophy), a pair of professional hairdressing scissors on the day of the final. 12 x month’s supply of Head & Shoulders colour care shampoo and conditioner, in the form of 5x free shampoo vouchers and 5x free conditioner vouchers, will be delivered to the finalists after the national final has taken place. Please allow 28 days for delivery.
  9. The Nominators of the 8 finalist hairdressers will take part in photo shoots, interviews and filming on the day of the national final on 20 June 2008. These images, quotes and interviews may appear within national and regional consumer and trade magazines and newspapers, broadcast media on websites and on www.headandshoulders.co.uk. The clients of the finalist hairdressers will be entered into a prize draw on the day of the London Final on June 20 2008 for the chance to win a cheque for £500. 6 x month’s supply of Head & Shoulders colour care shampoo and conditioner, in the form of 3x free shampoo vouchers and 3x free conditioner vouchers will be delivered to the Nominators of the finalist hairdressers after the national final has taken place. Please allow 28 days for delivery.
  10. Each person who registers and votes online at headandshoulders.co.uk for a regional finalist will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a cheque for £500. Winners will be notified by phone or in writing on or around 12/13th May 2008.
  11. Entrants must have the agreement of their hairdresser before entering the Competition. Entries without this permission will automatically be void.
  12. The finalists’ and overall winner’s details will be available on www.headandshoulders.co.uk after the national final. All entries may be used for publicity and promotion in the UK. Finalists may be required to participate in post event publicity.
  13. The overall winning hairdresser has license to use the Award accreditation for their own publicity for one year after presentation of the Award.
  14. Procter & Gamble may contact the 8 x finalist hairdressers and the winning hairdresser to take part in publicity or other head&shoulders’ activity for one year after presentation of the Awards.
  15. Procter & Gamble reserve the right to substitute the prize of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond their control.
  16. By entering the competition, Entrants agree to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material.
